M is for: Much Ado about… Money!

Ahah!  Gotcha!  Bet you thought I was going to blog about Nothing….  But, I just couldn’t!   It’s not in me AND it’s not the “N” day!  I am going to attempt to show you how interested we are in money.

I mean, we all like to get the most bang for our buck and if I’m going to “go out and touch someone”, wouldn’t it be great if I had the
Midas Touch!

Now some people might think I’m made of money, rolling in money, or that it grows on trees  in my yard ,     the way they keep asking me for it!
Do they think I have money to burn?

I wouldn’t give them a red cent  unless it was a cause dear to my heart.

I’ve heard of stock market investors who have made a killing and made out like bandits and some others who can barely make ends meet  And how in the world will we be able to put in our 2 cents and pinch pennies once they obsolete our lowly coin!  Whoever was in charge of that decision has no clue of the impact of this loss!  I am still reeling with sadness that I wasn’t around to learn first hand that “two bits” was a quarter… the next generation won’t know what’s happening once they are cut off without a penny  or a penny saved is a penny earned… I can hear it already:  “Whatever!”
They can say, as Jackie Mason is said to have said:  "I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."

I am only asking for a man of means  to adopt me, one who has made a mint and won’t mind parting with some seed money so I can get on the gravy train with my cash cow.     But I’m probably a day late, a dollar short, because I can’t just go at the drop of a dime  and  we’re  talking  way more than chicken feed  here!

So signing off, betting dollars to donuts, that whether you’re loaded or broke  , one thing you keep asking for is “Show Me The Money!!

Better Be a Little “S” than a Little Less

  4. Nothing short of awesome!

It's beneficial to have money- it does make life more comfortable depending on where you live.

There are a lot of people out there asking for it these days- seems to have become a way of life or a daily job.

I usually give when I can- I figure I'll cast my bread upon the water and it will come back to me; and since you really never know what tomorrow brings It's nice to know that when I'm in need the waters will come flowing in.

I live a very, very simply life- not requiring much of anything material except the basics to stay a live. I would like to travel the world someday - and that requires money.

Overall- it is nice to simply have money when you need money to do what ever it is that you desire to do when you desire to do it!

    Really like your blog!

    1. Betty: it's so nice to welcome you here. Thank you for sharing; i agree with you wholeheartedly. Money is not what i need to be happy; somehow it's just incredibly useful to pay the rent! A friend of mine, who lives near Sacramento, has made me aware of several parties out there who have brought back the barter system for their goods and services and i find that totally awesome!! Cheers, Sylvie

    1. Thank you Emma - the clink-clink of ice cubes on glass reminds me of coins falling in a piggy bank - nice "saving" sound :-) Sylvie
